The 'Tiger Economy' is a phrase coined for the economies of Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan and China as the tigers of the Southeast Asia with respect to their drastic economic development within few decades after independence to industrialization.

Although not endowed with natural resources as most African nations, (Nigeria in particular), the 4 Asian Tigers "Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan" rose up to blaze a trail for an industrial revolution by the means of a sustainable transformational agenda as far back the early 1960s.
