Nictipism is a national development theoretical framework; postulated by Jawolusi Oluwaseun Solomon. Hypothetically, the philosophy of NICTIP canvasses for the establishment of a National ICT Industrial Park (NICTIP) in a country, by the actors, in an attempt to adopt economic access as a national integration index rather than the former.
The NICTIP Initiative, perhaps, can be concluded on as replica of some of the tested solutions that worked for the Asian Tigers in actualizing full industrialization after scaling through distinct phases of development, guided by a rapid economic development strategy adopted by the government.
Hypothetically, “nictipisation” entails the experimentation and the implementation of various PPP (Public Private Partnership) and AMP (Advanced manufacturing Partnership) Programmes by devoted “Nictipists”, with a mission blaze a trail for an industrial revolution by the means of a ‘guided capitalism’ economic system.
Experimentally, Neo-Liberalism, Keynesianism or state-led model could be adopted as an economic development model in establishing a NICTIP - (with respect to the governance structure of the nation in consideration).
The investor’s handbook titled; “NICTIP Initiative: A sustainable Transformational Agenda in Nigeria”, accompanied with a forum – www.nictip.com is structured to provide a participatory leverage for Nigerians in contributing to the development of their country. The goal of this mission is targeted to be actualized by canvassing for the establishment of an ICT industrial park in each Nigerian State.
On a scale of preference, there is pressing need for a transportation revolution in Nigeria. This type of revolution will foster the phenomenon of urbanization of various communities targeted for micro-industrialization and modern manufacturing technology in an attempt to create a pathway for a sustainable transformational agenda. Nevertheless, while the state keeps revolutionalizing the transportation system in Nigeria in preparation for her industrialization, the limitless potentials in the internet/digital revolution can be fully maximized alongside, since it requires little or no physical transportation means for its complete chain of production.
Conclusively, Nictipism is founded on the ideals of adopting an economic access as a national integration index.
